Welcome to Newton County Land Records. This will be an attempt to plot the land records
of Newton County, MS for purposes of Genealogy only. Since many of our ancestors migrated
into Newton County, this will be a graphical aid in helping us understand the migration
patterns, who their neighbors were, and, with the indexing, where they went from here. If
enough interest is shown in this project, we could easily expand it to include other counties
as well.
An excellent website for a view of Newton County (and others) topographically, is Topozone.com. This link will show you Newton County in the smallest set they have to save you from lengthy downloads. Once there, you can zoom to your hearts content (X4) and manipulate the map with ease. This is a Township Grid of Newton County, MS.
