IRELAND ADVENTURE TO FIND QUAKER GRAVEYARD
by Mary Sharrard Johnson & Ronn Johnson

Armed with many parish maps, detailed local maps and names & dates, I went
to County Armagh. With the help of a lady at the Armagh Ancestry center
and some people in Lurgan, I found the Moyraverty Quaker graveyard. They
wanted to be sure I knew it is NOT in Moyraverty!

Here are the directions from Lurgan --leave Lurgan on Union St. Go to the
traffic lights, straight on down Tandragee Road approximately 1 mi.
Here you come to a series of roundabouts. Continue through 3 roundabouts.
At the 4th roundabout, take the first left, Moyraverty West. From this
road, take the first right onto Bluestone Road. The cemetery is on the
right after about 250 yards.

The cemetery has recently been cleaned up, it has signage on Bluestone
Road, and has a signboard in the cemetery with names and information about
those buried there. Ann Ree (Wray)s name does not appear on the
signboard. But I would like to think she is there, just the same! I am
e-mailing my photo of the signboard.

It was thrilling to see the highway signs for so many of the unusual place
names such as Tandragee, which we all have entered into our family tree,
wondering if we were spelling them correctly. We didnt attempt to find
any other family sites.
