Cyrus Hollingsworth
b. 3/23/1903 in Lynn, Randolph, Indiana;
d. 9/29/1973 in Richmond ,Wayne Co., Indiana
Cyrus and brother Paul spent many years researching the family history.
This history has helped many of the Hollingsworth researchers from
Randolph and Wayne Co, In.
The Following taken from his obituary in the Richmond Palladium-Item In
Indiana newspaper.
He was elected to the Richmond City Council in Nov. 1963 on the
Republican ticket and served until Dec. 1967 and was a Precinct
committeeman from 1954 until 1966 and a Republican convention delegate
three times.
While a member of the council he served as a director of the
Richmond City Light and Power.
He was a member of the Wayne County Council for Retarded Children
and later an honorary director and also was affiliated with the Towsend
Center,the Conservation Club, and was a member of the Wayne County
Historical Society.
He was a member of the Hopewell Methodist Church north of Fountain
City, Indiana.
Buried at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens southeast of Richmond,
Indiana.
