instruments. One is dated 31 Mar 1808 and headed Franklin County.  
John D. Terrell of Franklin, under power of attorney 18 Oct 1806 from 
William Hollingsworth formerly of Clarke County for $200 paid by Benjamin 
Harrison, Pendleton District, South Carolina, 202 1/2 acres drawn to 
name of said William Hollingsworth in the last (1807 Ed.) lottery, lot 
62 in 16th District of Baldwin Co., Ga. surveyed by Hugh McDonald.
Signed J. W. D. Terrell. Wits: Thomas Gordon, Wm. Gordon. Proved by 
Thomas Gordon 22 Mar 1809 before Joel Terrell, JP, in Franklin County.
Recorded in Jasper County 28 Mar 1809.  The 17 Oct 1806 instrument is 
then entered on p. 283, Headed Franklin County. William Hollingsworth, 
late of Capt. Robertson's company in Clarke County having clear and 
unexceptionable right to enroll his name for one draw (denoting a 
single man - Ed.) in Oakmulgee land lottery, has duly enrolled his name 
for one draw in the books of John Simmes and Obadiah Echols, persons
appointed to take in the names of all persons so entitled in Major 
Plankston's Battallion (3rd).  I, said William Hollingsworth have this 
day sold same for $3. to John D. Terrell of Franklin County.  If a 
prize (lot of land - Ed.) should be drawn in my name, Terrell has 
power to sell.  Signed William X Hollingsworth. Wit: Agness W. N. Potts),

in Jasper County, Ga. 28 Mar 1809. Identity of this William is not 
known.  Have we got a "Mystery William" too?  Oh me,oh my!

    (1) James Malcolm Hollingsworth - 1968, California

     He was Lt. Col. James M. Hollingsworth retired USAF fighter pilot 
who was aged 47. He was born 6 Nov 1920, at Edmonds, Snohomish County, 
Washington, to Claude E. and Sarah E. (Knapton) Hollingsworth. He died 
19 Mar 1968 at Hamilton Air Force Base hospital of a massive coronary, 
resuscitation efforts having been unsuccessful. He left his wife, 
Nadine, of the family home at Novato, Marin County, California, four 
sons, James M., Jr., Robert, Ritch and Tommie, and daughter Jeanne.  
Services were in San Rafael with military burial in Mt. Tamalpais 
Cemetery. Hollingsworth had been a fighter pilot for 25 years, starting 
in P 38s at McCord AFB, Tacoma. He saw service in North Africa, England,
Japan and Germany during World War Two as well as at McDill AFB in 
Florida and Hamilton AFB in California. For five months of the war, 
Hollingsworth was a prisoner at Stalag Luft #1 at Stettin, Poland, from 
Dec 24, 1844 until May 1945 when the camp was overrun by the Russians.
He had been retired a year and a half at the time of his death. He also 
left two sisters, Eileen H. Gray and Ethel H. VanRooy. (Contributed by
