His efforts this year was unusually successful with about 1,000 conver-
sions. Fourteen years ago he was transferred to the Nebraska Conference
and moved to this state serving as pastor at Mavale, Byron, Carlton and
other places and coming from Gretna to Overton. At these places are
friends who with those of this community mourn his death.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Overton
on Saturday, April 14th and his body shipped to Ohio for burial in the
family vault.

NELSON E. HOLLINGSWORTH
We have the sad duty to report the passing of Mr. Nelson E.
Hollingsworth, of Lexington, Nebraska, December 16, 1967, at a local
hospital. He entered the hospital on Friday evening, and succumbed
the next morning. He had been suffering from several illnesses, but
his death was unexpected and is deeply regretted. He had operated
Hollingsworth Motel in Lexington since 1947 and had been a local
businessman since 1935, coming from Overton in 1923.
Nelxon E. Hollingsworth, familiarly known as "Red," was born on
April 26, 1900, at Brandt, in Miami County, Ohio, the son of Rev. Edw.
Lee Hollingsworth and Edna Barrere his wife. He married Ruby Bolen
on Jan. 27, 1937, at Lexington, Nebraska, who survives.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the First Methodist
Church, Lexington, the Rev. James K. Irwin officiating. Burial
took place at Greenwood Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers included Maj.
Donald Liehs, Paul Brown, Frankie Cook, Max McHale, Keith Bourne and
Stephen Anderson. Active pallbearers were Larry Carroll, Mickey Blivens,
Louis O'Con, Ronald Teetor, Victor Smith and William Kelly.
Besides his wife Ruby, surviving are a brother Clarence Hollingsworth,
Omaha, one sister, Mrs. Veo White, Lexington, a nephew, Robert White,
Cheyenne, Wyoming. In addition to his parents, one sister and an infant
brother preceded him in death.
Hollingsworth Motel is located on East Highway 30, Lexington,
Nebraska.
