The Whites I am researching originally came from New York. Research is currently underway to locate the original White family there. About the only clue to where they originated was a beautifully handwritten note in the White Family Bible (cir.1875) from a Martha Yates to her brother Theodore Yates in Cazinovia, New York, which is in Madison County.
There was an Abel White in Sullivan, Madison County, who had a son Samuel's age and the Abel White family lived next door to a Yates family there. We are in the process of trying to find the children of the Yates family to try and verify the existence of Thomas and Martha. This page will be updated as soon as any new discoveries are found.
