He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the Tri-State Beagle Club, Masonic Lodge 315, American Legion Post 374, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6450 and the East Liverpool High School Alumni Associaton. He was born in Meigs County, Ohio, Dec. 3, 1916, as son of the late Charles W. and Bertha Bentz Baker. He lived here most of his life. He was employed 37 years as a steel chaser on the open hearth at the former Crucible Steel Co. before retiring in 1978. He graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1934. He attended the Calcutta United Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Farm Bureau of Columbiana County. His first wife, Ruth Jones Baker, whom he married March 22, 1939, died Aug. 3, 1978. He is survived by his wife, Jacqualine Skeens Coleman Baker of Calcutta; five daughters, Mrs. Charles (Bonnie) Ryan of Chester, Mrs. Carl (Nancy) Hadley, Mrs. Edwin (Linda) Morgan and Mrs. Larry (Karen) Gibson of Calcutta and Mrs. Noble (Diana) rose of Akron, Ohio; a brother, Ross W.
