I would like to recognize and thank the following people and organizations
for their assistance in assembling the information provided in these pages.
Without their help my sole efforts would have been fruitless.

1. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, whose enormous generosity and helpfulness in sharing
its Family History data with all researchers makes genealogy possible.

2.  The other three members of the Green Bay Comedy Team:  Rick Fontaine ("Larry"),  Larry Smits ("Moe") and Debbie Ott ("Lucy"), all descendants of Nicholas Nooyen.  Needless to say, Yours Truly is the "Curly" member of this quartet. The volume of historical Nooyen and Hermans family data they provided was exceeded only by the amount of internet humor and jokes. Also contributing to these efforts were Heidi Stenson,  Dennis Hermans, and Bob Sonkowsky..

3.  Patrick Hays, genealogist extraordinaire, who pointed me in the right direction in my search for my Ott ancestors.

4.  Researcher John Krussel who, in his generosity, made his research results on the Ott and Basler families in Germany available to all.

5. My Dutch "cousin" Albert Maas of Gemert who provided valuable data regarding the Maas and
Nooyen families of Holland.

6.  The dozens of other fellow researchers who provided much needed information, assistance, and suggestions on the internet.  Special mention must be given to Tom Fisher, Daniel Bly, Maria "Ree"
Pratt-Hopper, Brion Utz
, Sue Carpenter, Pam Cain, and Nancy Lee Garcia.

7.  George and Beth Ott.  George is the great-grandson of Ferdinand Ott's youngest daughter Katie. They still live in New Albany, Floyd County, Indiana.

8.  Darlene Cole, Administrator at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Bradford, Indiana, who provided valuable information on the family of Ferdinand Ott.

9.  My son Ted Ott, who provided the technical assistance and instruction to build this website.

10.  My father-in-law Sig Hahn, who was responsible for perking my interest in genealogy and providing a wealth of  information regarding the Hahn family.

11.  My cousin Marsha Ott, who provided critical family history but passed away before having the opportunity to view this compilation. Marsha died on June 12, 2000.

12.  Carol's cousins Clarice Sprengeler and Lily Spaude, who provided the Sprengeler family
 information.

13.  To my beloved wife Carol, who suffered for hours, days, and weeks without her husband while he hunted and pecked on the computer keyboard searching for information.

14.  To ROOTSWEB for providing the server space for this website.

15. And finally, thank YOU for visiting our website. We hope it was an informative and enjoyable
experience.

May your searches be successful, your "brickwalls" few, and may your family prosper.
