The Russian Archives ~ The Russian Archive is a new service for
scholars and lovers of Russian history, literature, culture and art. It is
your link to ALL archival collections found in Russia's archives, libraries and
museums, including those recently declassified and open to all scholars. The
Russian Archive is a multi-lingual technical resource team which serves as a
link between foreign researchers and the curators of Russia's archival
collections. The Russian Archive collects and processes requests for information
or for materials (historical documents, manuscripts, works of art, etc.),
coordinates searches with leading archive curators and then sends the material
to researchers in a format which is convenient to use and easy to
transmit. Most initial searches (checks to see whether your request can be
fulfilled) can be processed in 5-7 days. As a special service for scholars
planning to travel to Moscow for archival research, The Russian Archive can
conduct initial archival searches and do other preparatory work, saving scholars
time and expense. Comments or questions may be addressed to: [email protected] |
