#1.  CATHARINA HOPPES - Michael and Catharina Machler Hoppes had two daughters
named Catharina -- the oldest and the youngest. I am looking for information on the oldest, Catharina, born in Europe in 1748. She married Jacob Cunfer and lived in East Brunswick Twp., PA. Jacob died in 1798 and Catharina renounced her role as executor of the will in favor of her brother, Michael Hoppes, Jr. There is no mention of guardianship for minor children. In 1801 Jacob's property was sold to Peter Steigerwald.

Catherina, a shadowy figure to begin with, disappears. Did she die, re-marry, move away, have no children, have children who died young, have only female children? While information seems to have surfaced on her siblings, I have not been able to find anything on her. Is there some descendant out there who knows something?  If so, please contact Patricia.
