I certify that in conformity with the Laws of the United
       States of the 7th June, 1832, Jesse Hooper
           of the State of Tennessee
          who was a Private in the war
               of the Revolution
       is entitled to receive Eighty dollars and
0  0 cents per annum, during his natural life, commencing
on the 4th of March, 1831, and payable semi-annually, on the
    [4th o]f March, and 4th of September, in every year
          Given at the War Office of the United States, this

State of Tennessee
Davidson County - Be it known that at a
County Court Session holden for the County afore
said at the Court house in the Town of Nashville
on the 3 day of February 1840 personally appeared
in Open Court John Hooper, Washington G Shelton
Jeremiah W. Cullom all of said County and upon their
oaths have satisfactorily proven to the Court here
that the following named prisons are the only
lawfull heirs of the late Jesse Hooper decd who died
on the Eighth day of July 1839 leaving his widow
Elizabeth Hooper who died on the twenty 23d third day
of August following 1839. The name of his
heirs as follows William T Hooper, John Hooper
Mary Story who married to Henry Story and is
now a widow, Martha Benningfield who mar
ried to James Benningfield, Elizabeth Cart
wright who married to Thomas Cartwright
C. L. Hooper, Anna Russell who married
to Thomas Russell, Alston Hooper, Isaac
Hooper who is dead leving [sic] one child a minor
whose name is Durindy. The above named
persons are the only legal heirs known of to us of
the said Jesse Hooper and they all now reside in
the County of Davidson & State aforesaid, and
that the said Jesse Hooper at the time of his death
had been placed on the roll of Revolutionary Pensioners
of the United States under act of Congress of the
of June 1832 and further that, he was teh Identical
Jesse Hooper named in an original certificate
in his possion [possession] on the day of his death and which
is here shown to the Court and of which
the following is a true copy
War Department Revolutionary
Claim. I certify that in conformity with the

Hooper of the State of Tennessee who was a
Private in the War of the Revolution
is entitled to Receive Eighty dollars per annum
during his natural life, commencing on the 4th

Jesse Hooper dec. was entitled to a Pension at the
rate of Eighty dollars per annum from the 4th day
of March 1839 to what time he was last paid
to the 8th day of July 1839 being the day of his death
on account of Service rendered the United States
during the Revolutionary War, and that at the time
of his death he resided in said Davidson County afore
said & had resided there for the span of about Forty
______ years and before that resided in the State of
Georgia

Guardian of the orphan child of Isaac Hooper
all of the County of Davidson & State of Tennessee and
being the same and only heirs of Jesse Hooper decd
as named in the foregoing record before the 
court do hereby constitue & appoint Jeremiah
Cullum our and for each of us Lawfull attorney
for us and in each of our names to receive from 
the agent of the United States for paying Pensions
in Nashville State of Tennessee the arrearage of 
Pension due to each of us in right of our decd Father
Jesse Hooper decd who was a Revy Pensioner
from the 4th day of March 1839 the Time to which
he was last paid, to the 8th day July 1839 the
day of his death.  Witness our & each of our

by the heirs to Jeremiah Cullom who resides in

to my care and I will obtain the necessary
