M. W. Babb was Mark Babb
I beleive the John Hollinger you referred to was a brother to my gr gr
grandfather Georg (Johan) Hollinger, son of Hans Jacob Hollinger/Anna
Kuester. John was known as Johannes.
Georg Hollinger & several of his sons went to  Ohio in 1820, 1830 they
were in Sugar Creek TWP, Stark Co. 1830 Georg was in Fayette Madison Co.
One of the sons was my gr grndfather William Wesley Hollinger. It is
believed the Georg (Johan) returned to Pa sometime  in the 1830's.

1840 History of Defiance Co., Ohio-pge 279 quote" Clinton TWP, Fulton Co.
"This land is now in part the town platt of the town Wauseon, on the Air
Line Railroad. There was neither canal nor railroad thought of near this
part of the county then.
Among the earliest settlers in the township were David Landis, Mark W.
Babb, William Hollinger and Nelson Tustason.
William Allen commenced the first clearing on the Fort Wayne road, and
William Hollinger and Mark W. Babb followed. They bought their land
October 11, 1842".
1850-my gr grandfather William Wesley Hollinger and his family settled
in Hicksville TWP, Defiance Co. until the late 1860's when they went to
Leon, Iowa where my gr grannfather & gr grandmother passed away & are
buried there in the Leon Cemetery. I believe that Mary  Hollinger was a
cousin to my gr grandfather. Mary is a family name.
