Obituary: William Thomas Helman, 94, Independence, MO, passed away Sunday, May 11, 1997, at the Independence Manor Care Center. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Speaks Midtown Chapel; burial in Floral Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 30 minutes before the service at 1 p.m.

Mr. Helman was born November 22, 1902, in Vienna, IL, and had lived in this area over 60 years. He was a routeman for the Teamsters and a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Mr. Helman was a 50 year member and past Master of McDonald Lodge 324 A.F. & A.M.

Surviving are his wife, Pearl K. Helman, Independence, MO; a son, David Dean Helman, Tiburon, CA; a daughter, Carol Ann Evans, London, England; three gransons, Chris Helman, Thomas and Toby Evans.
