Obituary: SHIPPENSBURG Wallace E. Helman, 81, of the Shippensburg Health Care Center, formerly of Shippensburg Mobile Estates, died Sunday at the center.
He was a retired employee of the Allegheny Pepsi Co., Newville; attended the Prince Street United Brethren Church; was a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post 223; Durff-Kunh VFW Post 6168; Disabled American Veterans; was a life member of the Cumberland Valley Hose Company; and was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was the widower of Edith M. Smith Helman. Surviving are a son, Edward W. of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a daughter, Sandra L. Wyrick, of Shippensburg; a brother, William Helman, of Shippensburg; a sister, Betty Miller, of Shippensburg; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg. Burial will be in ParklawnsMemorial Gardens, Greene Twp.
Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
