Jonathan S. Helman: I have just discovered the Helman Home Page... and am somewhat fascinated; however, I do not believe the people cited in the home page are related to me, although who knows...
My family is Jewish and, originally, I believe from Germany, but emigrated to the US in the 1880's (or slightly earlier) from Russia.

F. Hellmann: I sure enjoyed your Helman Family Homepage. My name is spelled Hellmann but as long as they sound alike I'm interested. My father was Frank, born in Iowa 4/27/1893 His father was Ferdinand, born in Germany 8/22/1862 son of Frank and Dena (Roehte) Hellmann. That's as far back as I know now, but hope to continue further. If you have any info. that might help I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Georgia Fosberg: Researching Peter HELMAN and third wife Hannah Jane (TAYLOR) LEDY of Franklin Co PA. About 1855 they arrived in Ogle Co IL. Peter had a sister Elizabeth and a brother Michael. Hannah's father, James, came from Ireland and her mother from New Jersey.

Deb: Hi! My name's Deb and I am trying to find info regarding my gr.grandmother, Della HELLMAN, born 1878, Luxemborg, orphaned, came to the US with relatives. Since you have done extensive research on the HELMAN's I thought maybe you would have some idea where I could turn for info. Thanks

Michael D. Lacopo: CHARLES E. HELMAN was born 23 Apr 1876, place unknown. He married CARRIE BELL NUSBAUM in Elkhart on 5 Sep 1900. They were the parents of Kenneth N. (1903-1990), Charles E. Jr. (1912-1982) and Catherine M. (1916-?). They moved to West Palm Beach, FL, in the 1920's, where Carried died in 1928. Charles died in 1965 in Florida. I assume all of the children remained in Florida, but attempts to notify living relatives have been unsuccessful. If you know of any other info on this family, I would appreciate your help. Thanks!
