Paul N. Hellmann, 56, Cameron, Wis., died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999, at his home.

He was born Feb. 16, 1942, at Barron, Wis., to Frank and Elizabeth (Willems) Hellmann. He grew up in the Barron area and was a 1960 graduate of Barron High School. He served in the United States Army following graduation from high school.

He married Linda Knapmiller June 10, 1968, at Birchwood. He worked for the Barron County Highway Department for over 32 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Barron.

Services Thursday, Feb. 4, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Barron, Father Kevin Gordon officiating with interment at Wayside Cemetery in Barron.

Visitation Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Survivors include sons, William (Michelle) Hellmann of Delavan and Brian (Danette) Hellmann of Almena; one daughter, Diane (Sainthyl) Sainterme of Marshfield; two grandchildren; brothers, Frank of Anoka, Minn., Ray of Barron, and Joe of Boyceville; and sisters, Bernadine Roux of Rice Lake and Florence Gangelhoff, Sleepy Eye, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dale Allen Hellmann in 1972; and one grandson, Samuel Sainterme in 1992.
