Mary E. Helman

CHAMBERSBURG, PA- Mary E. Wildeson Helman, 78, of 7426 Hades Church Road, died Monday, April 20, 1998, at her home.

Born Sept. 16, 1919, in Guilford Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late W. Paul and Lydia Mae Knepper Wildeson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit A. Helman, in 1978.

She was a homemaker. Earlier, she was employed by the former Stanley Co. of Chambersburg. She was a member of the Hade's Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by three daughters, Rachel M. Eckstine of Hagerstown, Naomi M. Helman and Jane R. Helman, both of Chambersburg; two brothers, Kenneth P. Wildeson of Chambersburg and David Luther Wildeson of Louisville, Ky.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Teressa Kline; and two brothers, Chester Wildeson and Clarence Wildeson.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hade's Church of the Brethren, Hades Church Road near Chambersburg. The Rev. Dean Gearhart, the Rev. George Martin and the Rev. Don Clapper will officiate. Burial will be in Browns Mill Cemetery, Kauffman, Pa. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, Pa., and at the church one hour prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.
