Probate Records for Daniel Helman, died intestate about. 1859

To the honorable the judges of the Orphans Court of Somerset County

The petition of William Reel Administrator of all and singular the good and chattels rights and credits which were of Daniel Helman late of Shade Township in the county of Somerset deceased respectfully therewith. That the said Helman died intestate leaving the following issue Samuel Helman, Jacob Helman, Mary Helman intermarried with George Beaner - Elizabeth Helman intermarried with Sam(?) Rhoads - Catherine Helman intermarried with Daniel Logue & Sarah Helman intermarried with William Moyer. That the said intestate dec'd seized of a certain tract of land situate in Shade Township, county of Somerset adjoining land of Lewis Whiskers, Frederick Helman, Samuel Statler, Daniel Statler & John Rhodes containing about 200 acres more or less- that the personal estate of said deceased is insufficient for the payments of the debts of said intestate.

We therefore pray your honor to grant him an order of sale of the said real estate aforesaid for the purpose of aforesaid.

We the undersigned heirs and legal representatives of Daniel Helman late of Shade Township, dec'd do hereby renounce our right to administer the good, chattels, rights and credits of said deceased, and desire that R. R. Marshall Register of Somerset County Pa grant letters of administration to William Reel of the same township.

Somerset County

At an Orphans Court held at Somerset in and for said County on the 7th day of February 1860 before the Honorable the Judges thereof.

On Petition of William Reel administrator of Daniel Helman the court decree a sale of the Real Estate of Daniel Helman dec'd and grant an order to William Reel Trustee for the sale of said real estate viz a certain tract of land situate in Shade Township County of Somerset adjoining land to Lewis Whiskers, Frederick Helman, Samuel Statler, Daniel Statler & John Rhodes containing about 200 acres, more or less for the payment of debts.
