HISTORY
The Carroll County Genealogical Society began as a
bicentennial
project in 1976 by local citizens concerned with preserving Carroll
County's
history through its people, both past and present.
The Carroll County Genealogical Society continues to
collect
genealogical information, storing, and indexing it for use by future
generations.
Some of the Society's past projects include:
Publishing
"Savanna-Yesterday and Today."
Republishing
and indexing "The 1878 Carroll County History."
The Carroll County Genealogical Society membership
dues
are $15.00 per year. Renewal is in January. All members
receive
our quarterly newsletter and may submit queries up to 50 words.
