For this section the term "Vital Records" concerns the information
recorded about individuals for births, marriages, deaths, naturalization,
probate proceedings, wills, etc. This information is located in the
records of the county court houses of the three counties. The principal
charged as keeper of most of this information is the county recorder although
the county clerk may be the custodian of records of court proceedings.
