At the time of the organization, Carl
Peter Frodig was installed as the pastor. Services were held in the
Star school house which was located one and one-half miles south of the
town. Services were held here until 1876. At that time a building
was erected one mile east and one and one-fourth south at the cost of $1,800.
In 1901, this building was moved to town. The present church was
constructed in 1908 at a cost of over $10,000.
