John Fredrick Petersson who is listed as having come from Polk
county on 23 August 1867 signed a contract for 80 acres at $3.50
an acre and 80 acres at $4 an acre in the northeast quarter of
Stockholm section 18 plus an additional 10 acres of timber at
$15 an acre. He signed with an 'x' and agreed to a repayment
plan with 4 installments. In August of the following year,
Nils Winquist and a Hanson apparently assume this contract.
They also came from Polk county. Nothing further is heard
of John Fredrick Petersson.
