Introduction

In The Broyles Family by Arthur Leslie KEITH, Jacob W. BROYLES (fifth generation), is listed as having had three marriages, the last to a Mariah REYNOLDS.  Two children from that marriage are given in Keith:  George BROYLES and Rufus BROYLES.  (There were "perhaps others".)  Rufus BROYLES was our grandfather (see Researchers below).  (On the Germanna Colonies Family History web site there is a link to a BROYLES/BRILES Database by Steve BROYLES which extends the number of children to four.)  Jacob and Mariah actually had seven children that we know of.  This BROYLES/REYNOLDS database provides information on these children (the sixth generation), as well as their children and grandchildren.

Organization

In addition to this introduction, there are three sections to this DATABASE:  The Database itself, a Narrative, and an Index.

Database
The format is the same as the database by Steve Broyles.  Each section of the Database lists a person; his/her parents; his/her spouse(s); birth, death, and marriage dates and locations; his/her children; and census records.  Links on each page for parents, children, and spouses take you to the sections for those individuals.


Narrative

This section tells the story of some of the persons in the Database, based on information from a number of sources.  To the extent possible, it traces them from their birth to their death, and identifies their final resting place.


Index

This is an alphabetical listing of names for all persons in the database.  If a person in the Index does not have a separate section in the Database, the link routes you to the page where that person is mentioned.

Links in the body of the Database sections labeled "Narrative" route you to the location of each person in the Narrative.

A return link at the end of each portion of the Narrative returns you to the Database sections for that person.

Links at the bottom of each Database section, at the end of the Narrative page, and the end of the Index let you switch to the beginning of various sections of the DATABASE, or exit it altogether.


Researchers

The researchers for this database are Bill Broyles, J. Bruce, and Carol Sacchetti Broyles.  Bill and Bruce are grandsons of Rufus Broyles, the son of Jacob W. Broyles and Mariah Reynolds mentioned above.
