Thomas KELLY was from Roscommon, Ireland, born about 1800. He married Mary Caulfield and had a large family. Their 'baby', John Patrick KELLY, was born in Athlone (Roscommon), Ireland in 1851. He was their last child. John reported on his Naturalization papers, in 1876, that he had come to America in 1857. Thomas and Mary (Caulfield) KELLEY are found living in Roxbury, Massachusetts in 1860. With them were many of their children: Malachi, Brigid, Julia, and John. The family has yet to be found in 1870, but by 1880 John Patrick KELLY was living with his brother, William, in Boston. John Patrick KELLY married Mary Anne McCormack in 1883. He bought his home in Charlestown, Massachusetts, in 1914. His descendants are listed below.
