1.   Richard Eli POUND was born 1763 in Virginia. He died Oct 1807/6 Jun 1807 in Murdered, 
Jackson County, Georgia. Son of Reuben Pound and Frances Merriman.
Richard married Mary Ann DAVIDSON, daughter of John DAVIDSON and Sarah, in so says FTM. 
Mary was born about 1765 in Rockingham County, North Carolina. She died 1865 in Cleburne 
County, Alabama.
They had the following children:
    2  M  i.  John T. POUND was born 20 Dec 1786 in Anson County, North Carolina. 
He died 25 Dec 1880 in Georgia.
John married (1) Ann RAMEY about 1817. Ann was born 1790 in Clarke County, Georgia. 
She died before 1827 in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
John also married (2) Marian (Lankford) LANGFORD about 1827. Marian was born 20 Dec 1811 
in North Carolina. She died 17 Apr 1877 in Gwinnett County, Georgia and was buried in Pounds 
Cemetery, Gwinnett County.
    3  M  ii.     Merriman POUND was born May 1791 in Georgia. He died 21 May 1883 in Tuscaloosa 
County, Alabama.
Merriman married Mary A. WHITE on 1815 in Clark County, Georgia.
  +  4  M  iii.   Newman M. (Newman Madison?) POUND was born 1795 and died 7 Sep 1871.
     5  F  iv.    Catherine POUND was born 2 Dec 1799 in Clarke County, Georgia. She died 2 Feb 1868 
in Polk County, Georgia.
Catherine married Augustus YOUNG on 23 Nov 1820 in Clark County, Georgia.
     6  F  v.     Martha POUND was born 18 May 1800 in Georgia. She died 21 Feb 1876 in Union County, 
Arkansas.
Martha married (1) Benjamin WILLIAMS. Benjamin died in Arkansas.
Martha also married (2) Rupert Phillips MCHENRY on 27 Nov 1850 in Union County, Arkansas.
     7  F  vi.    Sarah POUND was born in Georgia. She died in Alabama.
Sarah married George HEARD.
     8  F  vii.   Elizabeth POUND was born in Georgia.
     9  F  viii.  Mary POUND was born in Georgia.

Second Generation

4.  Newman M. (Newman Madison?) POUND (Richard Eli) was born 1795 in Clarke County, Georgia. 
He died 7 Sep 1871 in Cleburne County, Alabama.
Newman married Mary A. "Polly" ALLBRIGHT, daughter of William ALLBRIGHT and Catherine Margaret 
REID, on 10 Nov 1831 in Henry County, Georgia. Mary was born 1803 in Henry County, Georgia. 
She died 22 Apr 1872 in Cleburne County, Alabama.
They had the following children:
    10  F  i.     Arminda Catherine POUND was born 9 May 1842 in Cleburne County, Alabama.
