Sumter County Robert Houston, and wife Mary Davidson had seven children. They were as follow: James, Samuel (Major), John, Anne, Ester, Margaret, and Mary. My Houstons came from Rockbridge, VA. Sams mother moved to Blount Co. TN in 1807 after the death of Sam's father. Major Samuel Houston and wife Elizabeth Paxton had eight children.
