Jewish Furrs

According to US census records, between 1899 and 1914 eight familes of Jewish ancestry who immigrated to the United States were named Furr, seven from Russia and one from Poland. It is highly unlikely their birth surname was Furr. I would love to hear from any descendants of these Furrs or know their birth surname.
