Our Richmond and Ware family ancestors
The first wife of Charles W. was Fidelia Ware, daughter of Emerson and Sarah "Sally" Ware. Thomas Truxton Ware was an older brother of Fidelia. The obituary of Fred Adkins, husband of Alida Richmond, gives a little insight into the family of Charles W. Richmond with his second wife Charlotte Wright. They had three children, the youngest of whom was Alida, who married Fred Adkins. The pictures of Thomas and his wife Phebe (Norton), along with a legal document between Thomas and his father Emerson Ware, are all due to the generosity of Connie Grant, whom we thank for sharing them with us. These are the only pictures we have of the Ware side of our ancestry. We have no pictures of Fidelia Ware, mother of Henrietta (Richmond) Ladd, or of her husband Charles W. Richmond.
