Map of early rural schools in Ford County. This plat drawing was scanned from page 19 of the book "Ford, Kansas: 1885-1985." The Arkansas River loops along the upper part of the plat. State Highway 400 angles northwest, going through Ford. Bucklin is at the intersection where SH 400 angles off from SH 54 which continues on to the southwest. Kingsdown is west and a little south of Bucklin on SH 54. Broom is on the lower edge of the plat. |
