54-Dawson home remodeled, 2008

This is the house that Isom and Allie built in 1911 on the south edge of Ford, Kansas. This snapshot was taken on 14 Nov 2008. The house faced the east. It originally had a large porch across the front and a sidewalk around the south side to the door leading into the dining room. The house has since been remodeled at least twice. The first remodeling enclosed the porch to make two rooms, reported to have been a sewing room and an office. The sidewalk was removed, and the inside stairway was changed. The latest remodeling involves the vinyl siding and adding a three-car garage, visible on the extreme right. There were no street names or numbers originally, but the house now sits at 1215 S Mulberry.
