America (Dawson) Sprott and family

America Jacqueline Dawson lived in Ford County, Kansas where the Dawsons descended from Martin H. Dawson lived. She was born on 23 Feb 1852 in Williamson County, Texas (or, according to another account, in Belton, Bell County, Texas). Her parents were Samuel Riley Dawson, Jr., whose wife was Margaret Queen. Whether these two Dawson families were related has yet to be determined. America married James Arno Sprott, and they had nine children, including a daughter Frances Marian who went by the name "Fannie." Fannie married Jesse Cleveland Cannady, brother of Allie (Cannady) Dawson, on 17 June 1906 in Spearville, Kansas.
