Clarice Vestal (Dawson) Smith
Clarice was the youngest child of Isom and Allie (Cannady) Dawson. Born on 30 May 1907 in Ford, Kansas, she died on 15 Mar 1940 at age 32 in Arizona. After an early marriage to Don Gray, she married Ferris Smith about 1929. After her death, her twin sons Bill and Bob, then about age nine, went to live with their aunt Edith (Dawson) and her husband Arthur Karns. They lived with Arthur and Edith until they graduated from the Ford, Kansas High School.
