Jean (Karns) Ladd, a Dawson granddaughter

Jean was the second of two daughters born to Elmer and Verna (Dawson) Karns. She grew up around Ford, Kansas and attended the Ford schools. After high school she and her sister Colleen attended Bethany-Peniel College (now Southern Nazarene University) in Bethany, Oklahoma, where they graduated with highest honors. Jean taught business in Garden City, Kansas High School for two years, then she married Forrest Ladd Jr. in Aug 1950. They have one daughter.
