The newly-remodeled Dawson House northeast of Ford, Kansas. Elmer and Verna Karns did a major overhaul of the building before moving into it in 1943. This view is looking west-northwest at the front entrance. This photo was taken in Aug 1944. The large plant to the left is a tamarisk bush which had been there before the rebuilding. Note the sizes of the other plants in relation to later pictures with this building as a background.
