Registration begins @ 10:00 a.m. in the Mill Lofts

"CONTINUING THE LEGACY"

Saturday, August 28, 2010 will be a day of hugs, handshakes, laughter and even a few tears in Porterdale as hundreds of people gather to continue the legacy and celebrate the heritage of the historic mill village and rekindle old friendships. You do not have to be a past or present resident of Porterdale to attend, so come and enjoy the fun.

On Sale: Bricks (In Honor and In Memory), Diary of a Cotton Mill Girl – By: Lucille Ivey Shaw and Porterdale Woman’s Club Baked Goods

Betty F. Jaynes, Co-Founder of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and Beth Bass, CEO of the WBCA will be in Porterdale to sell and autograph their new book, The Butterfly Experience: Healthy Transitions in Athletic Hirings. This book was launched at the Women’s Final Four this past Spring in San Antonio, TX and will benefit the Betty F. Jaynes Internship Program.
