Louise Harwell Pope
worked in the Porterdale Mill in the
1930-1940's
This is my mother in law. My
husband, Jim Pope was born in Porterdale at that time. They
eventually moved to Atlanta. He remembers having an Uncle
and boy cousin that he visited every summer. One of
them, was a Pharmacist, who worked at the local Porterdale Drug
Store? Louise, used to tell stories of her Grandparents who
owned a Moviehouse?
One of the other sisters of the Pope
family just passed away. Sara Pope...and this made me do
some checking.
