Hi

As I was growing up in Covington with my grandparents, Albert and Katie Middlebrooks, I attended the Methodist Church in Porterdale. It is so great to see this site. I remember Annie Day and how one time her husband, Frank, said something about being in her way and she replied, "Honey, you will never be in my  way." You could feel the love that they had for each other.

I also remember Happy Edwards and so many of the others.
 

Wonder if someone that reads the site remembers my grandparents. They lived on Rt. 5 and Grandpa farmed and also worked in the Cotton Mill.
