Subject: A Holder's granddaughter

Dear Mr. Ollis, my name is Laurie Ann Holder Welch. I am Shirley Holder's  daughter. My granny was Velma and granddaddy was Render. I have the Porterdale web-site now and I think it's GREAT!! I always remember going to granny's and playing on the concrete steps in front of their old house on Poplar St.  Mr. and Mrs. Archie Patterson lived next door. Never was there a time  going to Granny's and not having plenty to eat!! I recall all the homemade buttermilk biscuits, homemade cakes, and the watermelons Ms. Pope fed us. WOW!!  I am 38 and still love to reminisce the good ole days sitting on Granny's back porch. Did you know the Holder's? Thank you for letting me share this with you.
