James Virgil Payne born in Porterdale, GA Sept 4th 1932 at #4 Broad
St. I departed Porterdale in 1951 joined USAF. I served 20 years in
the USAF and another 25 years in USAF Civil Service and retired
as GS-12 in 1996. I married a wonderful lady, Amelia L. Payne from
San Antonio, Texas in 1955, We have four children, James D.
Payne age 48, Shirley Jeanette (Payne) Caisse age 47, Dolores
Teresa (Payne) Graham age 45, James V. Payne Jr. age 38.
Eight beautiful grand children. We now live in Castroville,
Texas about 16 miles from San Antonio. My Father was B.
E. Payne, Mother was Lelia O. Payne Brothers, Rev, J. T. Payne,
William Finney Payne, Billy E. Payne, Sisters Annie Bell (Payne)
Reynolds, Willie Mae (Payne) Cole, Emma Grace (Payne) Tankersley. I
have always loved Porterdale and miss the good times as a kid and
remember a lot of the fine people that lived there. Keep up the good
work on the Web I enjoy every bit of it.
