Who Am I

Gym Opened in 1938. Your Webmaster played basketball here in the 1940's.... Scored 19 points in one game!!

When I was going to school in porterdale in the 1940's, this building was used for the band practice. Your Webmaster tried the snare-drums and the Alto horn. Did not make the grade with either.
This was the Community Center in the 1940's.  I remember entering this building on one occasion.  The cigarette smoke was so strong it was almost unbearable.  I recall there was a ticket tape running that gave all the scores and game information on baseball. In the 1940's I remember this building being used as a hotel.
