connection to earlier generations of the family. The SCHWYHART
name was adopted by some branches of this family in about the 1820s.

EDITORIAL NOTE: What is the common element here, that likely accounts for the name change? Both brothers, Joseph and Jacob, married sisters, Elizabeth and Sarah Zimmerman (daughters of Henry Zimmerman). All of the children of these two families used the name SCHWYHART - no others do.
