Baisden/Basden Family DNA Project

The Baisden/Basden family is doing a DNA research project to determine if the various families are connected. The DNA trace is on the male genome. Those with direct line Baisden/Basden male line are invited to participate.

The first step, technically, is to determine the genetic fingerprint of the individual family line. This requires 2 distant, yet paper trail documented cousins. This will eliminate the chances of false paternity or unannounced adoption at least to the “common ancestor” of the 2 distant cousins. Thereafter a family should do the same testing in each unconnected line, but it may start with one person.
