Trimble Cemetery

Trimble Cemetery is located about 5 miles south of Decatur.
Go south out of Decatur on S FM RD 730. Just past Pleasant Grove #1 Church and Cemetery turn right on CR 4280. Follow it for a couple of miles. After it turns south you will find CR 4292 on the right. Turn there and follow it to the end. The dirt road ends in a loop and the cemetery is on the south side. In the center of the loop is and old hitching post and a flagpole.

When we took pictures in September of 2001 we found 80 headstones. One additional headstone from an old listing makes a total of information on 81 headstones.
Because there was quite a bit of tall grass, we didn’t lay the cemetery off in rows. We just numbered the headstones as we came to them from north to south. There were a large number of white crosses with nothing written on them.
