The Allison Family Cemetery is
located out the lake road on the west side of Bridgeport.
Take Fm Rd 1658 (the road to the lake dam) out of Bridgeport
toward the west. Past the radio station on the right and just past RumCo
Trucking on the left, turn in an aluminum gate on the left. Go down the dirt
road and through a pipe gate and cattle guard. The cemetery is on the left.
In July 2001, the cemetery was
mowed and the many Crape Myrtles were in bloom.
The sign over the gate said "Allison Cemetery
Established August 1981".
We found 6
new-looking headstones along the back fence.
Thank you to Addie Ruth Green Steele for helping us find this
cemetery.
In 2010 we saw one new
headstone, making a total of 7.
