JOSEPH DUNCAN, Rev. Pension Application S-1809 (from National Archives; also on FHL film 970,864)
      Applied 14 Sept. 1832, age almost 81, in Washington Co. TN; volunteered summer 1774 in Wythe Co. VA under Capt. Joseph Crocket, Col. Andrew Lewis, Lt. Col. Charles Lewis, for 5 months; enlisted summer 1775 from Wythe Co. VA under Capt. Crocket, Col. Woodford, transferred to Col. James Morgan for 2 years; witnesses William P. Chester and Leroy Taylor of Washington Co. to reputation.
