Richard Teakle, Duncan's corner, Stringfellow's saw mill pond. (incl. copy of 1726 grant to Duncan) Court 11/29/1796, Stringfellow has better title.
Pg.124, Prue (Prew?) Benson vs. Thomas Fallis, 10/4/1796, 128 acres, 25 acres, 13 acres, part of grant to Robert Duncan, adj. William Skinker, the river, Summerduck run, Mr. Turnell's branch, Rocky Run; Robert Duncan conveyed to James Turnell who devised to son Net Furnell (Turnett?) who conveyed to Prue Benson. Court 11/29/1796, Benson has better title.
Pg.128, John Skinker vs. John Mauzy, that John Mauzy in 1793 owed Skinker money for rent? of 79 acres, from 1780 (1700? 1788?) to 1793; jury 11/29/1797, found that Skinker produced deeds that the lands were granted to (blank) Duncan who conveyed to Samuel Skinker; John Skinker is not heir at law to Samuel Skinker and does not have deed from him, and the lands were granted to Martin Pickett in 1792; although Skinker proved 20 years possession; Mauzy not guilty of trespass. (incl. copy of grant to Thomas Duncan 10/5/1726, 67 acres adj. James Morgan etc., King George Co. B-6; and Duncan lease & release to Skinker 5/19/1736) Court ordered survey of lands in question, Ranty Duncan's deed mentioned. Survey, William Skinker acting for John Skinker, land adj. Dinwoodie's now Chilton Runsdell, Duncan's land near John Skinker, William Casey, formerly Yeats. Grant 12/26/1792 to Martin Pickett from warrants #22 10/8/1787 & #12,455 6/22/1782, 139 acres surveyed 6/28/1791 on the marsh and Marrs Run, corner Capt. John Stuart? (Stewart), Colo. John Skinker, Marrs Run, Marsh Run, Chilton Ransdell. Most of 1792 grant was covered by elder patent to Thomas Duncan 10/5/1726, adj. Parson Scott now Stewart (part of orig. surveyor's description in error, land would include either 79 acres or 62 acres).

Charles Morgan, Parson Scott, Dinwiddie's land; wit. Wm. Hackney, Jeffrey (X) Johnson, Thomas (X) Evans; court 7/21/1736, rec. on oaths of wit.
