Benj. Duncan, 1840, his agent was taxed on 555 acres (pg.85, perhaps "1840 Citizens of TX; Tax Rolls" Vol.2, by Gifford White, FHL book 976.4 R2wge and fiche 6,100,365; from Lucille Mehrkam 1984)
