The father ... to TX in 1852, with his family, settling in Houston ... in 1863 he finally settled in Sullivan [Guadalupe Co.], on the Brazos river. Our subject is one of eight children, three having died in infancy. Their names are: William C.; N.M., the subject of this sketch; Charles H.; Walter W.; Laura C. married Frank M. Dunkin, a farmer near Waco. (JW: N.M. Wilcox married in 1882; lived Georgetown, Williamson Co. TX)
