      Pg.264: Mrs. Martha J. Duncan, native of Scotland Co. MO, daughter of Israel and Elizabeth (Kinder) Cline, the children respectively of David Kline (sic) and Jacob Kinder. Mrs. Duncan was reared and educated in MO and came to TX with her parents in 1860. In 1869 she was married to Jennings Duncan; four children: Boone, Jennings, Edna and Mildred. Jennings Duncan, the late husband of Martha J. and father of above children, was always a farmer. In 1861 he enlisted in Confederate army under Capt. Dougherty and served through entire Civil War. Mrs. Duncan, with her children, reside on the home farm. (MAD: no TX county given; 1870 Denton Co. TX census)
