TN, for $25 paid, sell 2 half town lots in town of Savannah, the half of the two Lot No.33 and 12 lying on the North side of Main Street and the West half the two lots in Hardin Co. TN, beginning on SW corner of the front lot, running then ... north boundary line of the back lot, then ... to the beginning corner so as to include 1/2 acre of land, with appurtenances, warrant title. /s/ Joseph Duncan. TN, that Joseph Duncan rents to Pickens a large field including the south end of his plantation the oats that is now someal?, Pickens is to cut and put in good order and pay 1/2 of the outs rent ... Duncan is indebted to W.H. Cherry, surviving partner of W.H. Cherry & Geo. F. Benton who were partners in tracts and trading in the name of W.H. Cherry &c, in the sum of $93.37 due by Judgment on 23 Sept. 1854, to secure payment, now if I should pay the judgment by 1 Jan. 1855, then this deed be void, else property be sold. ... /s/ William C.       EDS note: Jesse Duncan's middle initial is "J" and that according to Deed Bk X pg.120 he was living in Washington Co., MS on Jan. 28, 1893. Also Napoleon Bonaparte [Duncan] and Evan Floyd Duncan were in Washington Co. MS. when they sold their share of Joseph Duncan's land in July 1897. That makes four of Joseph Duncan's children who went to Washington Co. MS.
